The Fastest Facebook Ads Training on the Internet (Step-by-Step Setup Guide)

Ready to finally make real sales with Facebook Ads? Then buckle up, because I’m walking you through the exact process we use to create high-converting Facebook ad campaigns—from start to finish. No fluff, no filler—just results-driven steps that actually work.

Let’s go!


Step 1: Don’t Boost Your Post—Use Ads Manager

First things first: don’t boost posts. That’s a quick way to burn your budget with little to no return. Instead, go into Facebook Ads Manager and click the green “Create” button.

Step 2: Choose the Right Campaign Objective

Facebook will ask: “What do you want to achieve?”

Important note: Facebook is like a magic genie—it gives you exactly what you ask for.

  • Choose Awareness, you’ll get views… but not sales.

  • Choose Traffic, you’ll get clicks… but again, not sales.

💡 Want leads? Click Leads. Want purchases? Click Sales.

That’s what we’re going to choose in this walkthrough.

Step 3: Name Your Campaign & Set Budget

At the campaign level:

  • Name your campaign based on your product (e.g., Accelerator Course).

  • Add a date to stay organized.

Then choose Campaign Budget Optimization.
Set a daily budget—$10 to $20/day is fine for beginners. You can scale up later as you get data.

Step 4: Ad Set Level – Targeting, Pixel & Audience

Now we’re at the ad set level—this is where the targeting magic happens.

  1. Conversion Location: Choose Website if that’s where you’re sending traffic.

  2. Pixel: Select the pixel installed on your funnel or website. This is how Facebook tracks actions—super important.

  3. Conversion Event: Select Purchase or whatever you’re optimizing for.

Schedule Your Ad

Start your ads the next morning at 7 AM EST so they hit people when they’re most active.

Step 5: Target the Right Audience

  • Advantage+ (Facebook’s AI targeting) works great if you have lots of data. If not, set your audience manually.

  • Define:

    • Age Range (e.g., 25–65+)

    • Gender

    • Interests (e.g., entrepreneurship, small business, finance)

Watch the estimated audience size—aim for something broad (tens of millions) so Facebook has room to optimize.

Label your ad set with the audience you're targeting (e.g., Business Owners) and hit Next.

Step 6: Ad Level – Upload Creative & Write Copy

Here’s where we add your image or video and write the actual ad.

Upload a Video or Image

  • Video ads usually work best, but test both.

  • Make sure aspect ratios look good across placements (Stories, Feed, etc.)

  • Turn off all Facebook’s automatic “enhancements”—they often mess things up.

Add Your Destination URL

Paste the link to your landing page or funnel. This is where users go when they click your ad.


Step 7: Write Scroll-Stopping Ad Copy (With AI Help)

Inside our program, we use a tool called Ad Copy Genius. It analyzes your landing page and gives you 5 ad copy options:

  • Short-form pain-based

  • Long-form pain-based

  • Medium outcome-based

  • Disruptive

  • Educational

Copy-paste the options into the Primary Text section. You can even split-test multiple versions using “Add Text Option.”

Step 8: Add a Headline and CTA

Write a strong headline like:

  • "Run Ads That Actually Convert"

  • "Stop Overpaying Agencies Now"

And always use “Learn More” as your Call to Action—that’s what’s performed best for us.

Step 9: Duplicate for Split Testing

Once one ad is set:

  • Hit Quick Duplicate

  • Swap out the video for an image

  • Change the ad name (e.g., VIP Mastermind Image)

That’s it! You’re testing multiple creatives with just a few clicks.

Step 10: Launch and Learn from the Data

Once you're happy, hit Publish and start running traffic.

  • Should you tweak creatives?
